What have we been up to?
It has been a busy few weeks at Jamie’s Computers. We have received lots of donations big and small, each one will make a big difference. Our mission is to refurbish all that we can and, of course, recycle everything correctly and ethically. Thank you to all for all the continued support!
We have also been attending a few events in our local communities. Jamie’s Computers were kindly invited to attend Barton Pevrils – Big Give Back, which was linked to Earth Day. The students and staff were all super welcoming and helpful. And we are incredibly grateful for all the donations we received. It was lovely to chat to students and share our knowledge about recycling and all that we do. The students even taught me lots about computer parts; what a motherboard was, RAM etc.
In mid April, Jamie’s also attended the Radio & Computer Boot Sale that was held in Andover. The Boot Sale was held by a club called Andover Radio Amateur Club. It was amazing to see so many tech enthusiasts. Another thank you to ARAC for having us! We met so many lovely people. We will, hopefully, be attending future events. Make sure you follow Jamie’s Computers so you don’t miss out on event announcements and more!
Jamie’s attended a Digital Learning day that was held at Bitterne Library. We received many donations. It’s great to be able to take part in events like this in our community. It’s a fantastic chance to drop by if you’re seeking tech advice, looking to donate unwanted tech, or eager to upgrade your current tech.
We will be at Southampton Central Library on Tuesday 2nd June 2024, from 10am-2pm. We hope to see you there!
We would love to take part in more events in our community, so keep an eye out! Again, we can’t thank you enough for all the continued support. Whatever the donation or just spreading the word about what we do! It helps massively!
