Why Choose Jamie’s Computers?
- A social enterprise with a purpose
Founded in 2002 by the Society of St. James, Jamie’s Computers is more than an electronics recycling provider, it’s a non-profit initiative supporting employment and volunteering opportunities. We refurbish and reuse about 70% of donated equipment to Microsoft standards and responsibly recycle e waste so that that 0% ends up in landfill. - Environmental and legal responsibility
Our recycling services are fully compliant with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013. We supply Environment Agency–approved Waste Transfer Notes and hold a T11 exemption certificate as a registered waste facility. In working with us, businesses and individuals meet UK legal requirements, protect data, and reduce carbon footprints. - Secure and transparent processes
Your data matters. We offer free secure data-destruction certificates, whether through professional wiping or physical destruction of storage media. Plus, we provide asset tracking and proof of disposal which are essential for GDPR compliance and internal audits.
