We’re excited to announce that Jamie’s Computers will once again be taking part in the Greening Campaign Showcase on Saturday 11 October 2025, from 10:00am to 2:30pm at Jubilee Hall, Little Shore Lane, Bishop’s Waltham, SO32 1ED.

Following a fantastic response last time, we’re back and ready to help the community recycle their old IT equipment while supporting a brilliant cause.

Ethical IT Recycling Made Possible

At Jamie’s Computers, we believe in giving technology a second life while protecting the planet. Every year, 155,000 tonnes of electrical items are discarded in the UK, and the average household holds onto around 20 unwanted devices.

Bring them along to us!

We’ll be running a pop-up shop, repair and donation point, where you can drop off your old tech, including:

  • Laptops
  • Desktop computers
  • Monitors
  • Mobile phones
  • Tablets
  • Mice
  • Charging cables
  • Small printers

All donated items are processed through our professional and ethical recycling operation, and all proceeds support our homelessness charity Society of St James, so you’re not just clearing out clutter, you’re helping people in need.

What Else Is Happening at the Showcase?

The Greening Campaign Showcase, organised by Greening Bishop’s Waltham, is shaping up to be a brilliant day out. Alongside our stall, you’ll find:

  • Live music from the Soberton Strummers
  • Delicious food from Roots Food Truck
  • A chance to enter the Upcycling Competition, where one lucky winner will receive a refurbished laptop courtesy of us here at Jamie’s Computers.
  • Community and conservation groups including:
    • Final Straw Foundation
    • Wilder Bishop’s Waltham
    • North Pond Conservation Group
  • Hands-on workshops, fun activities, and informative stalls
  • …and much more still to be announced.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn more about local sustainability efforts and get involved in practical climate action, all while enjoying a family-friendly community event.
